The Smart Parking System project is an innovation in technical and vocational education that integrates the use of Internet of Things (IoT) technology and solar energy as an alternative power source. This project was developed to address the lack of student exposure to emerging technologies such as automation and smart systems, while also solving a real-world problem related to parking congestion. The system utilizes Arduino Durian, infrared sensors, servo motors, LCD I2C, and the Blynk application to automatically detect, display, and control access to parking spaces. The learning approach adopted is the 5E Model (Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, Evaluate) which supports project-based learning. As a result, students not only gain practical technical skills but are also exposed to the values of innovation, green technology, and 21st-century competencies.
