ARTory+: Augmented Reality for Social, Emotional & Creative Growth in Children
Innovation Description
ARTory+ combines augmented reality, storytelling, and social-emotional learning
(SEL) to foster creativity, empathy, and teamwork. It enables children to co-create
stories, express emotions, and share feedback in a safe, inclusive environment. Key
features of ARTory+ include several interactive and inclusive tools designed to foster
collaboration and emotional development. Story Circles allow children to take turns in
co-creating stories, building both cooperation and narrative skills. The Peer Gallery
encourages children to give and receive constructive feedback, promoting peer
appreciation and a sense of community. Emotion Tools use augmented reality (AR) to
help children recognize and understand emotions, supporting the development of
emotional literacy. Finally, Inclusive Modes offer non-verbal participation options,
ensuring that every child, regardless of ability, can actively engage and contribute.
